The new two-story community was built slab-on-grade adjacent to the beautiful Ashton Hills Golf Club and conveniently located near Piedmont Newton Hospital. It is also close to a variety of stores, restaurants, churches, a library, and walking trails.

The Oaks offers shared and private accommodations, a high caregiver to resident ratio, limited resident enrichment, and more affordable prices when compared to larger communities.

Oaks at Ashton Hills also offers plenty of residential amenities such as state-of-the-art emergency call and smoke/fire systems Three nutritious meals and two snacks daily in the community dining facility. It also features in-house housekeeping and laundry services as well as dental and podiatrist services. There are also private studio apartments with all utilities and free Wi-Fi included. Regular health monitoring is included for blood pressure, weight and nutritional status checks with quarterly reports to family

Each Oaks’ community offers a specialized neighborhood, called Horizons, to support the needs of residents living with dementia. The building is carefully designed to provide bright and comfortable common areas with a centralized shared space help minimize agitation and confusion, while the layout and straight hallways allow residents to locate their apartment with ease. They offer a secured neighborhood, yet is designed to feel open and unrestrictive, giving residents freedom of movement and a sense of “home”.

The Oaks offer a “Person-Centered Lifestyle” which caters to the unique desires and needs of residents while moving away from an overly-structured approach. This lifestyle encourages independence and personal choice to ensure residents enjoy the highest quality of life possible. The staff receives specialized training on how to help those living with memory impairment while offering compassionate care. Through collaboration and tiered programming, residents receive frequent socialization, stimulation, and independence regardless of their level of cognitive functioning.
