The 12,000-square-foot facility includes an apparatus area consisting of four double bays for Fire Rescue vehicles and other auxiliary equipment.  Additionally, the work and living space provides 13 individual bunk spaces, dining and day room, a commercial grade kitchen, employee restrooms, shower facilities, laundry, an exercise room, a safe room, a command center, a telecom room, a mechanical room, and storage facilities.

These fire rescue stations are designed and detailed to blend with the character of the individual residential neighborhoods they serve. Exterior materials are highly durable and low maintenance, to provide lower total cost over a longer service life for the facility.  The building envelope and MEP systems are high-efficiency, high-performance ,and supported by a full-load backup generator.

Exterior amenities include barbeque patio, a truck and equipment fueling station, and xeriscape native landscaping.  Interior amenities include an exercise room, a Command Center, private Captain’s Bunk, private Shift Commander’s Office, bunker gear storage off the apparatus bays, crew work room, and a large open-plan kitchen and multi-purpose gathering space.

Full civil site design services included preparation of construction documents depicting demolition of an existing building, geometry, pavement section design and striping, grading, drainage, stormwater management system design, erosion control, potable/fire water design, sanitary sewer design, and related details of the work to be performed.

The engineering and design of the stormwater management system included the preparation of the calculations and drawings required to meet the regulatory requirements of Hillsborough County Development Services, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).
