Solarban® 67 Solar Control Low-E Glass by PPG
67 glass represents an entirely new vision for transparent, solar control,
low-e glasses, featuring a soft, almost imperceptible, neutral coating that
endows commercial buildings with a crisp, clean and brilliantly clear
exterior appearance, along with the excellent solar control performance
architects have learned to associate with the Solarban glass family.
A proprietary double-silver, MSVD coating developed by PPG enables Solarban
67 glass to transmit and reflect the timbre and brightness of ambient light
and color more honestly than any product of its kind. The glass’s crispness
and clarity is further enhanced by 16 percent interior reflectivity and 19
percent exterior reflectivity.
Proven Solar Control Performance
The coating on Solarban 67 glass also delivers solar control performance not
typically associated with such high levels of transparency. Combined with
clear glass in a 1-inch IGU, Solarban 67 glass has visible light
transmittance (VLT) of 54 percent and a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC)
of 0.29, which produces an impressive light-to-solar gain (LSG) ratio of
1.85 that helps buildings meet stringent mandates for energy and
Choices are More Than Clear
Solarban 67 glass can be specified in an IGU with clear glass, with
blue-green tinted glasses from the Oceans of Color collection, or with
earth-toned colors from the Earth & Sky family of performance tints to
provide a full spectrum of aesthetic options, SHGCs from 0.19 to 0.34 and
VLTs of up to 42 percent. Solarban 67 glass may also be united with
Vistacool™ subtly reflective or Solarcool® traditionally reflective glasses.
