The Imagine International Academy of North Texas is located in McKinney, Texas. This two-story, 60,000-square-foot facility provides K through 12 classrooms for over 1,000 students and 83 instructors and administrative staff. The project, which also includes a full kitchen, library, assembly area and business center, is located on an approximately nine-acre site.

The school features concrete exterior walls finished with a natural brick veneer. Dramatic full-cantilever canopies highlight the school's main entries. The canopies are clad in Kynar'-coated, no-maintenance prefinished metal.

The school was designed to maximize students' learning opportunities by keeping the teacher-to-student ratios low, with classroom sizes averaging less than 25 students. Project ownership needed to be open for the fall 2012 school year, and UEB Builders was instrumental in helping them achieve this goal. To speed up the construction process, UEB utilized tilt-up concrete exterior walls that allowed a 40-day schedule compression over what would have been required with conventional CMU exterior walls.

The owners of Imagine International Academy were extremely pleased with the early completion and high quality of the finished product, and have informed UEB they would definitely use them again on their next construction project.
