A beautiful two-story 27,500-square-foot addition to Westminster Lower
School was designed by ADG in Oklahoma City. The addition provides
classroom space, a new library, a reading room and a new entrance to the
lower school for first through fifth grade students.
ADG began working with Westminster School in the 1980s on a campus
master plan. In the first phase of the lower school, two floors of
classrooms were constructed and opened summer 2006. The new school

accessories juxtaposed against contemporary fixtures and features. The
finishes are playful and modern with custom oak millwork, birch
color-grid feature walls and graphic flooring patterns. Each classroom
includes abundant built-in storage. Large windows fill the building with
daylight. A veranda along the east offers quick access to the green
The second level includes a new library. Sumptuous carpet, antique
furniture and cozy reading nooks make it the perfect quiet place for
students to enjoy reading. There are also 14 computer stations for
online and interactive learning. The library features large windows with
blackout screens for movie time.
"Colorfully Creative" was the concept behind the interior design. Color
abounds throughout the space through accent ceiling soffits, locker
pods, flooring materials and toilet wall tile. The vibrant accent colors
promote creativity, while warmth and comfort is extended through the
