This new, two-phase project includes a classroom addition and a gymnasium for the 450 children attending Palmer Catholic Academy in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The first phase of this project included second story addition of classrooms, an administrative room, and a teachers' lounge. In addition, two existing classrooms on the first floor were renovated into a student lunch room. This phase of the project also included the addition of a 36-space asphalt parking lot over underground rain storage tanks, the installation of fire sprinklers throughout the existing school building, and the relocation of the electrical transformer and sewage lift station in preparation for phase two. The first phase was completed in 8 ˝ weeks over summer break - the tight schedule required working weekends, extended hours, and at night.

The second phase of this project included the two-story Parish Gymnasium. The new facility includes a basketball and volleyball courts, bleachers, a concession area, locker rooms, a stage, music and youth rooms, and meeting rooms. This phase of the project also included covered walkways, additional parking, and landscaping. Due to the location of the new building within the campus, construction work was carefully planned to ensure that the campus remained fully operational at all times. Additionally, the entire construction area was fenced in to maintain a separation between school activities and construction activities.
