Fort Collins' Lincoln Center is now the city's premier theater and
conference center after a complete renovation and a new addition by
Aller Lingle Massey Architects.
Aller Lingle Massey Architects completed a Master Plan for the
35-year-old performing arts and conference center that included 13,500
square feet of new enclosed space to enlarge the pre- and post-function
lobbies, patron restrooms and circulation corridors, and three new
permanent bars. The new addition also created larger entry vestibules
with new ticketing and office space along with creating greatly needed
dressing rooms, chorus rooms, green room and conference space. A new art
gallery was also included in the project.
The design called for renovation of 24,660 square feet of the facility's
conference spaces and a complete renovation of the Magnolia Theater,
including reconfiguration of the seating, acoustical, sound system and
finish upgrades to the Main Performance Hall.
Inspired by the client"s design, the building's architectural image was
completely updated. A new glazed curtain wall wraps the lobbies and
public spaces, while a rainscreen wall assembly clad in multi-colored
Trespa panels encloses the gallery, restrooms and other spaces. The
result dramatically enhances the architectural expression of the Lincoln
Center. The Lincoln Center will now meet the City's needs for another 35
