The new corporate headquarters of the Roanoke Electric Cooperative is located on 17.79 acres in Ahoskie, North Carolina. Completed in August 2009, the new headquarters includes a 13,824-square-foot office area connected to a 13,824-square-foot warehouse with a 3,897-square-foot shop area and 1,400-square-foot wash bay.

The new site is centrally located in the cooperative's service area, which provides significant operational efficiencies for serving the entire membership. The new site was chosen after an extensive analysis to find a location that met Roanoke Electric Cooperative's requirement of 15 to 20 acres of reasonably-priced land, was free of the threat of flooding and draining issues, had water and sewer access, and provided access to a major highway for accessibility to the cooperative's members, suppliers, and employees.

The Roanoke Electric Cooperative services approximately 16,000 meters and the corporate headquarters employs 60 people.
