InCapital, a private investment and trading company asked the architects and interior designers to create a design solution to reflect the contemporary technological approach that is the hallmark of success for their business. It was important for the design to convey a progressive company to its clientele and visitors. It was also important the supervisors be able to view and communicate with traders on a real time basis. From these criteria evolved the concept of transparency and total visual collaboration amongst traders, supervisors and management lead to a rich design aesthetic incorporating a combination of wood panels, sleek glass, polished metal hardware and mullions, and marble and carpet tile floors. The total image evolves a functional yet futuristic aesthetic.

Aesthetic principles employed in this award winning design were, the use of neutral tone materials and interior glazed walls, an intelligent and ordered illumination system, an interior conceived as a series of open spaces and floor to ceiling interior glazing for an abundance of natural light and a permanent visual relationship to the entire exterior from all spaces.

The real story of this project evolves from the time frame, cost parameters and delivery approach. Because the base building was unavailable for the commencement of construction until six weeks prior to the required occupancy date, the specter of achieving custom millwork and glazing was hanging over everyone's head. In order to accomplish the goal the Owner “teamed” the Architect and the General Contractor from start of design. Long lead items were identified and ordered during design, a pre-fabricated wall and glazing system from DIRTT systems was employed into the design solution and early demolition and framing was negotiated with the City of Boca Raton. It took the cooperation of all parties, including the City, to achieve the intended goals. During design major subcontractors, i.e., mechanical, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, IT and millwork were paired with the design team to create realistic solutions with minimal conflicts.

The end result was a project that the Owner was extremely pleased with and the design team was able to leverage to an award and publication.
