The Dogwood Center is a state-of-the-art theatre for the performing arts on the campus of Baker College in Fremont, Michigan. The center contains a fly tower, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, costume shop, scene shop, green room, stage, black box theatre and seats 420 patrons in comfortable aisle raised seating.
The Dogwood Center’s primary use will be Thespian, but it will also provide accomodations for music, dance, symphony, recitals and other performing arts for the college. It will be used interactively with Baker College to provide classroom training in theatre support, and has space for all productions, including stage set manufacturing.
Completed in July 2002 the center also houses state-of-the-art rigging, sound and lighting systems.
